Welcome to CoSAAMI 2021

The 2021 organising committee of the Conference of the South African Advanced Materials Initiative (CoSAAMI-2021) is pleased to invite you to submit abstracts on the latest research, development, and innovation in the various materials science, engineering and technology environments.

This materials conference of the Advanced Materials Initiative (AMI) again offers a platform for researchers and students from the various AMI networks, the Light Materials Development Network (LMDN), the Ferrous Materials Development Network (FMDN), the Precious Materials Development Network (PMDN) and the Nuclear Materials Development Network (NMDN) as well as other students and researchers in the field of material science globally, to present their work on topics related to the themes of the conference.

The CoSAAMI conference is a tool for the Academic Peer Review of the program which encompasses an annual conference where the work done by students and principal investigators are peer reviewed and presented to the AMI community and other interested parties.

Industry is urged to also take part in this exciting event. The program will encompass materials science aimed at beneficiation of South African Minerals towards RD&I-led industrialisation.

Student and researchers will have the opportunity to publish their work in a journal accredited by the Department of Higher Education and Training. The manuscripts will be double -blind peer-reviewed and published in proceedings which will be open access.
